BIO

Dr. Chloe Hamza is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She is the Director of the Coping, Affect & Resilience in Education (CARE) Lab, and holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Stress and Coping in Postsecondary Contexts. She is a member and current Deputy Chair of the International Consortium on Self-Injury in Educational Settings (ICSES), which is a leading coalition of researchers and clinicians internationally that develop and disseminate evidence-informed guidelines for supporting students who self-injure in school-based contexts. Broadly, Dr. Hamza's research focuses on understanding stress, coping, mental health, and well-being among adolescents and young adults. She supervises many graduate students in development and school psychology, and teaches courses in mental health in the classroom, as well as adolescent mental health.
