BIO

Working with families, clinicians and an interdisciplinary team, Dr. Biddiss designs innovative technologies that create possibilities for young people with disabilities to participate more enjoyably and effectively in arts, music, physical activities and therapies. Her research activities include the engineering aspects of system design (machine learning, computer vision, biomechanics, wearable sensors, and user-centred design) as well as clinical evaluation (single case experimental design, outcome assessment, technology-assisted and remote assessment, home-based therapy). Dr. Biddiss is passionate about expanding access to healthcare, education, and leisure opportunities through low-cost, accessible technologies.
