BIO
The Honorable Marvin Zuker is a Professor in the Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. He served as a full-time Justice in the Ontario Court of Justice from 1978 to 2016. His research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of Educational Law, Criminal and Family Law. Now in his 42nd year at OISE, courses Professor Zuker teaches include The Legal Context of Education and Advanced Legal Issues in Education. He is the author and co-author of many books and articles including The Law is NOT for Women with June Callwood (1976) and The Law is NOT for Kids with Ned Lecic. (second edition 2023) He is a member of a number editorial boards including the Education @ Law Journal (Thomson Reuters) and NacuaNet (NACUA). Professor Zuker is a voluntary Board member of the University of Toronto Faculty Club and Access for Parents and Children in Ontario. Some of his other publications include Education Law, BrownZukerSimmonsKeel, 5th Edition, 2019 (Thomson Reuters), Children's Law Handbook, ZukerMacKinnonJones, 4th edition, and Inspiring the Future: The New Teacher's Guide to the Law, Third Edition, Scarfo @ Zuker, 2020.
