Andrea Down is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough. She is also cross-appointed to the Accounting area at the Rotman School of Management. Her research examines the provision, acquisition, and utilization of private information in disclosure, debt contracting, and auditing settings. Andrea is also interested in the role of technology in the capital markets. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, she worked as a Senior Accountant at KPMG LLP, where she earned her CPA, CA designation.
