Over thirteen years of experience in dental and public health practice and global research; demonstrated history of teaching in higher education (University of Khartoum in Sudan, University of Toronto in Canada and University of Bergen in Norway) at graduate and undergraduate levels, in person and online; demonstrated work experience in the government sector in Sudan and the World Health Organization; demonstrated educational experience from Norway, USA and the UK with tangible contributions to bridging the gap between evidence and the policy making process in health service planning and delivery in Sudan.

In the past five years, co-founded Sudanese Dentists in Diaspora Support Group, co-founded Sudan’s COVID-19 Research Group, supported the US-Sudan Community Medical Support Team Initiative, contributed to the advancement of the Global Migration in Health Initiative in Canada, and supported Hijabi-ballers organization in Canada to improve the representation of Muslim women in sports.
