BIO
Dr. Katherine Entigar is an Assistant Professor of Adult Education and Community Development (Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education) at OISE/UofT. Dr. Entigar's research and teaching focus on critical language studies, critical migration studies, feminist and queer praxes, and anti-oppressive educational practice in community-based and postsecondary contexts. A community-based practitioner with 20 years experience working with transnational learners including refugees, asylum seekers, and international students, Dr. Entigar’s research examines inclusion, silence, and queer peer mentorship in cross-cultural contexts. Dr. Entigar is a past Fellow at the Centre for Community Partnerships and an Associate Researcher in the Identity, Home, and Belonging cluster at the Centre for Feminist Research (York University), and the 2025 recipient of OISE’s Distinguished Contributions to Teaching Award.
