BIO

Hanno Rein is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Department for Physical and Environmental Sciences, and his graduate appointments are at the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics and the Department of Physics.

Professor Hanno Rein develops numerical methods to solve problems in astrophysics. He has developed many numerical integrators and the N-body code REBOUND. He is also the developer of several iOS outreach apps such as Exoplanet and Comet Neowise, and most recently Mega Constellations.
