BIO
Professor Stephen Wright is Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto. He is a professor in the department of ecology & evolutionary biology, where he has served as chair and graduate chair. Professor Wright holds the Canada Research Chair in Population Genomics and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. As a leading scientist in the emerging field of plant evolution genomics, his research interests are focused on the genomics of plant adaptation and the evolution of plant genomes. Professor Wright is past president of the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution.
