BIO

Prof. Dorothea Kullmann is an associate professor in Department of French and Medieval Studies (cross-appointments) at the University of Toronto. She has taught at Göttingen, Heidelberg, and Avignon before coming to the University of Toronto. Her field of study is Europe (Northern or Western), Mediterranean, Literature and Linguistics, and Religion. She is the author of Ver­wandt­schaft in epischer Dichtung (Tübingen: Niemeyer, 1992), and Description. Theorie und Praxis der Beschreibung von Chateaubriand bis Zola (Heidelberg: Winter, 2004), and has published numerous articles on medieval and modern Romance literatures.
