BIO
Douglas Currie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto. His current research concerns the evolution, classification, and biogeography of black flies (Diptera: Simuliidae). Evidence of relationship is derived from cladistic analysis of internal and external structural features, chromosomes, behaviour, and ecology. A long-term research program on caddisflies (Trichoptera) is being developed with special reference to the fauna of Southeast Asia.
