Dr. Abdelhaleem is the Head of the division of haematopathology, at the Hospital for Sick Children. He is also an associate professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Abdelhaleem completed his M.B., B.Ch. at Zagazig University, and his M.Sc. in Immunology, at the University of Manitoba. He later completed a Ph.D. in Immunology and Molecular Biology, at the University of Manitoba, and his fellowship in hematological pathology at the University of Alberta.
