BIO
Monica Parry, NP-Adult, MEd, MSc, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto. She leads a program of research focused on sex and gender, diabetes and cardiovascular health, patient-oriented research (POR), and digital technologies. She is a past recipient of the Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses Research Excellence Award, the Council of Ontario University Programs in Nursing Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Dorothy M. Pringle Award for Excellence in Nursing Research. She is a member of the Canadian Women's Heart Health Alliance, Heart and Stroke's Women's Heart and Brain Health Research Network, and the Banting & Best Diabetes Centre. Dr. Parry is an investigator with the Toronto Health Economics and Technology Assessment Collaborative (THETA) and she continues to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in a cardiac program at an academic health sciences centre in Southeastern Ontario.
