Voula became faculty at the University of Toronto Mississauga (Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences) and University of Toronto (Department of Chemistry) in 2007 after completing her B.Sc. (Honours Chemistry) at the University of Western Ontario, Ph.D. at the University of Toronto (Department of Biochemistry, and Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute), and postdoctoral training at the University of Toronto and Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute. When an early career investigator, Voula was supported by a CIHR New Investigator Award and has an Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation Early Researcher Award. She has received research funding from NSERC, CIHR, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and the Rare Disease Foundation.
