BIO

Dr. Jaglal is a Professor and former Chair in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto with cross appointments to the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. She is a Senior Scientist at KITE Toronto Rehabilitation Institute-University Health Network and an Adjunct Senior Scientist at ICES.
Prof. Jaglal is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and a recipient of the Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics Service Award and numerous awards and distinctions.
Dr. Jaglal’s research interests include osteoporosis, spinal cord injury and rehabilitation health services with emphasis on utilization, appropriateness, self-management and knowledge translation. She has published over 250 peer-reviewed journal articles.
Dr. Jaglal has demonstrated academic leadership through her distinguished service on many committees—at the University of Toronto, locally, provincially, nationally and internationally.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Jaglal is the recipient of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine Graduate Teaching Award for Sustained Excellence in Graduate Teaching and Mentorship.
Dr. Jaglal holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Toronto followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences.
