BIO
Dr. Suzanne Cadarette is an Associate Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy and Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She completed her PhD in Health Services Research at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include health services research, osteoporosis and fracture prevention, and pharmacoepidemiologic methods.
Dr. Cadarette aims to reduce the burden of illness in the population due to suboptimal disease management, adverse drug effects and failure to adhere to pharmacotherapy. Dr. Cadarette’s team investigates the use, benefits and harms of prescription medications, and the use and impact of community pharmacy services. The Cadarette Group works directly with key stakeholders (e.g., Osteoporosis Canada) to inform clinical practice guidelines and policy decisions, and with international experts (e.g., International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, STRengthening Analytical Thinking for Observational Studies (STRATOS) initiative) to improve the design and analysis of real-world studies.
Dr. Cadarette has published over 100 journal articles in her field and has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for her work including the Early Career Excellence in Teaching Award from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the New Investigator Research Award from the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada.
